Backing guitar

Type a chord progression and have a guitar play it, dry or through your rig.

Guitar plays a chord progression for you to play or sing over. Its first tab, Chords, is the quick way; Song plan builds a whole song in sections.

The backing guitar

  1. Type one chord per bar, separated by |: Am | F | C | G. Major, minor and dominant seventh chords are understood.
  2. Set the tempo, in beats per minute.
  3. Play. Each bar is four downstrokes in 4/4, round and round until you Stop.

Play through the rig sends the guitar into your rig, so it goes through your pedals and amplifier. Off, you hear it dry.

Mute my input while it plays silences your own input for as long as the guitar plays; off, you hear yourself with it, through the rig.

Song plan

A song in sections, each strummed, picked or played from its tablature (Riff), with its bars, how many times it is played, and its own tempo and meter if it changes. Every problem is shown where it is, and nothing plays until there is none. You can loop a section, and Play the changes to hear an edit from where the song is.

MIDI saves the progression as a MIDI file, to open in other music software.
